It all started with one meeting that neither of us realized would change our lives.

The Groom

Brandon Clark. Born on April 22nd, 1994 at St. Mary's hospital and welcomed by two loving parents Rick and Joyce Clark.

At his core, Brandon is a helper—someone who naturally shows up for the people he loves with strength, presence, and care. An engineer by day and a massage therapist by night, he has a true gift for problem-solving and is known for his sharp mind, wide-ranging knowledge, and passion for things like music and investing. He’s also effortlessly funny, often without even trying. Brandon is the guy people turn to for sound advice and a helping hand- and he never disappoints. Whether he’s talking investing, playing guitar, learning a new recipe, or simply being there when it matters most, Brandon brings intention and reliability to everything he does.

The Bride

Victoria Ellis. Born March 13th, 1998 at the Jewish General Hospital to Sophia Ellis and Anthony Robinson.

At her core, Victoria is grounded, resilient, and deeply rooted in her faith. She is known for her calm presence, thoughtful nature, and the way she shows up for the people she loves—not always loudly or often, but always meaningfully. A steady and loyal friend, she is someone others turn to for honest guidance, a listening ear, and quiet encouragement. With a passion for health and wellness, a love for reading, and a big interest in investing, she approaches life with intention and a desire to continuously grow. With a heart that cares deeply and a strength shaped through life’s challenges, Victoria brings sincerity, wisdom, and purpose into everything she does.

Childhood

Brandon and Victoria both grew up in LaSalle, Montreal—a coincidence that would later feel like more than just chance. Long before they ever met, their lives were already quietly overlapping in ways they never realized. From attending nearby elementary schools to growing up just minutes apart, their paths crossed in proximity but never quite in person. They went on to attend rival high schools—Victoria at Beurling Academy and Brandon at LCCHS (if you know, you know)—shared similar spaces, and even had overlapping social circles, all without ever meeting. It wasn’t until later that they would look back and realize just how close they had always been. Growing up so near to one another became one of the many things they bonded over when their story finally began.

They Finally Meet

Brandon and Victoria met for coffee on September 12, 2018, at a local café in LaSalle—a simple meeting that would change everything. Just a week earlier, they had started talking on Snapchat after Victoria noticed a “random guy” posting at the waterfront on her street. Curious, she reached out, and after a few days of conversation, Brandon introduced himself and asked her out for coffee.

Victoria agreed, despite not even knowing what he looked like—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions she ever made. Their first date went so well that they planned a second one the very next week—sushi. It was after that night that they both felt something special beginning to take shape.

By October 2018, Brandon officially asked Victoria to be his girlfriend, and she said yes. That winter, they met each other’s families, celebrated their first Christmas together, and spent their time going on dates, growing closer, and falling in love.

The Pandemic

Dating in a pandemic presented unique challenges, but it also offered an incomparable opportunity for them to learn about each other on a deep, intimate & authentic level.

Their dates during the pandemic consisted of lots of car rides around town and exploring new places, movie dates over zoom, and several picnic dates in the summer.

The physical separation was tough, especially since they lived so close to each other, but that didn't stop them. They had already became each other's go-to person, and the pandemic was just one challenge that would teach them how to navigate life hand in hand. During a very unprecedented few years in the world, the one thing they were consistently sure about was each other.

"In Sickness and In Health"...

2022 was a dark chapter in the relationship when a sudden health mystery

A defining chapter in Brandon and Victoria’s story came in 2022, a season that tested them in ways they’ll never forget. That summer Victoria faced an unexpected and serious health journey that brought everything to a pause. The uncertainty was overwhelming—frequent trips to the emergency room, worsening symptoms, and the fear of not knowing what was happening. After her diagnosis of a rare autoimmune disease six months later , she spent a month hospitalized, and the road to recovery came with its own challenges, learning to navigate life with a chronic condition.

Through it all, Brandon never wavered. He was her rock, her calm in the storm, embodying the true meaning of the vow “in sickness and in health”—even before they were married. His unwavering presence, patience, and care strengthened their bond in ways that words can barely capture. What could have pulled them apart only brought them closer, deepening their love, their faith, and their certainty that they were meant to face life together.

Victoria documented this journey in a video, both as a way to process the season and to share her story with those who want to understand it more fully. This chapter, though difficult, became a testament to their resilience, commitment, and the undeniable truth of their soulmate connection.

For those who would like to hear more about that journey, her full story can be found here.

The Proposal

Christmas 2023 was already a special day, but Brandon had one more surprise in store. On Christmas morning at the Clark’s home, after all the gifts had been opened, he pulled out one final present—himself on one knee—and asked Victoria to be his wife. Completely caught off guard, Victoria had never expected this moment, and to this day, she calls it the best surprise she has ever received. It was a magical start to a new chapter in their story, filled with love, joy, and the promise of a lifetime together.

Holy Matrimony

Brandon and Victoria made it official at the courthouse on September 30, 2024. They had both been eager to get married for a long time, but life had thrown several unexpected curveballs that delayed their plans. Brandon had even intended to propose in 2022, but no one could have predicted the challenges that year would bring with Victoria’s health journey.

Rather than wait for a traditional wedding that would take time to plan, they decided to tie the knot and make their commitment official, knowing they could take their time planning the celebration they truly wanted. It was a joyful, intentional decision, and they are both thrilled with having marked the beginning of their married life together in this meaningful way.

The Big Day

And now, finally, after so many ups and downs, twists and turns, the Big Day is on the horizon. Brandon and Victoria are beyond excited to celebrate this incredible moment of love and triumph with their friends and family—many of whom they haven’t seen in years, thanks to the pandemic and life’s seasons of distance and challenge.

What they look forward to most is seeing everyone together, sharing in their joy, and marking this chapter surrounded by the people who have supported and loved them along the way. They feel deeply blessed and grateful to have such a community of care and celebration around them.

Their love story isn’t over—it’s just beginning. As they step into this next chapter, they are excited for all that lies ahead. No matter what the future holds, one thing is certain: they have built a bond that is unbreakable, and as long as they have each other, they’ll always be alright.
